2004 STX 900 limp home mode?????

2004 STX 900 runs great when you first start it up, after it gets good and warm the ski seems like it is going in to (Limp Home Mode) Carbs and fuel tank had water in them, I drained the tank, pulled the carbs and cleaned, replaced the fuel valve and lines. When the ski does this it never cuts off and idles great. Thanks KLSS.

I'm confused. After cleaning out the water, you're saying that it still seems to go into limp mode? Does the overheat warning light come on? Are you getting water out the pisser and out the back?

I've seen a couple of stator covers that had their cooling passages completely plugged. Perhaps your stator is overheating (which wouldn't turn the warning light on). I don't know what effect an overheated stator would have.

Help me here, water is coming out of the pisser on the right front of the ski. Should the ski have water coming out of the back like a Sea Doo.

take the seat off and feel the cylinders... does one seem way hotter than the other? do you have a laser temp gun???
