    1999 Polaris SLX 1050

    Can anyone tell me if this engine has plated cylinders?

    Not as factory equipement,but anything is possible.
    Post some pictures or cylinder part numbers.

    where can i locate the base gaskets, and all 3 o-rings?

    Cylinder cleaned up at 1/2 mil.
    Would a WSM piston be fine to use?
    Also, i need a dome, mine is beat all to heck.

    Yes a wsm piston will work but you need to set the piston to cylinder clearance with the actual piston you will be using, as well as set the ring end gap.
    As far as the head, you should find out which one you have as there a couple different 1050 heads that have different compression, yours should have the 025 heads if it is still stock.

    i do have the 025 heads.
    The machine shop was wanting me to buy a 160.00 weisco piston, the wsm are 1/2 of that, so i will go with the latter, they will also finish out the cylinder and set the ring gap as well.
    All i need to finish her is the head.

    I am upgrading my 025's to 050's very soon, I could hook you up with a freebie, you pay shipping, but it will be a few days till I get to pulling them, I've been procrastinating getting it done!
