    2010 FZS Deals..

I've been looking for a ski for several months now and the wife and I really like the FZS. I'm a die hard HP junkie so whatever I buy has to be the fastest LOL!!

I have a local dealer that's quoted me $12,700 with a trailer and first service free. Is there more to be had in that deal??

Also I was wondering what would be the best mods for the FZS. Nothing major the first season. I'd like to see 75mph is that possible without spending a fortune??

Sounds pretty decent to me especially as we are moving in to warm playtime months.
Maybe some extended warranty? That probably won't help a whole lot if you start modding a whole lot though.

Also should I do any mods before the 10 hour break in is up?

You better get an intake grate before you ride it. Or you could be bucked off the thing. There is a thread that you should read about the overstuff issue with that model. Or get a VXR if your a HP junkie. Look up that badass ski, seriously!

The VXR does look like a SWEET ski.. It's the same engine as the FZS non supercharged though correct which is 180hp vs 210hp

I dont think Yamaha has ever said how much HP their engines push out...but even though the VXR doesnt have the SC, it still rocks, its like the next generation GPR You should try test ride each

The HP is written on the engine. And it is ~215hp

As far as mods go to get you to 75 you have a couple of options...

    1. R1 reflash and modded VX plate should be close to 75
    2. Stage 1 + modded VX plate with a good prop should be 75+

Personally, I would get options 2. Check out my build thread and some other build threads in the project section. Lots of good info for your mods.
Once I get a chance to put on my modded VX plate I should be running 76+

I forgot to mention. I plan to do some towing with the ski. Will this have an effect on what mods I should do?

I don't think so, but if you are towing you will probably want to plug the visibility spout or put a valve on it.

The wife and I are going back to the dealer tomorrow to see if we can get a deal settled. They only have 1 2010' FZR left and it's still in a crate. I plan to work the install of the aftermarket parts in on the deal.

I plan to hit him with 12k plus a yamaha cover and the install cost of the parts. We'll go from there I guess.
