Pump wedge on FZ
Anyone running a pump wedge on a FZ? Results? I've seen them on other skis and they advertise 1-2mph gains on the seadoo side. I know there was a little bit of discussion on a longer driveshaft for the SHO for better hookup and mph, but I'm curious about the FZ.

I'm not sure what a pump wedge does, but I'm guessing it angles the pump higher to raise the bow out off the water.

All Yamaha skis come with a 5 degrees pump wedge built in to the exit nozzle. Some have tried a 2.5 and a zero degree pump exit nozzle to decrease purposing with good results, Julio...

Leo makes a pump wedge for our skis. He runs one on his SHO and I may try one this year to help settle the porpoising. But it's a positive degree wedge, not negative. Julio is right, the stock nozzles are 5 degrees up but the wedge for skis adds even more to that. I think 2.5 additional.
