Question 01 GP1200r- Feels like one cylinder cuts out while cruising. Stop and restart to fix.

Fuel, electrical or something with the PV??
Ths ski is new to me so I don't have any backround on this issue, but it has me stumped.

    Plugs look perfect!

    Couple more things to add:
The ski is oddly loud, it sounds like the waterbox has little to no water in it.
I think the ski might have d-plate in it as the lower stinger temp sensor was disconnected and when I got it.
Could this have something to do with the PVs? Just thinking because I can hear the servo run when I stop and restart the ski.

    Thaanks

Going to try to add some more detail to whats going on.

So if i'm cruising along holding the throttle at half throttle, I can feel the ski start too slow. If I blip the throttle a bit it picks backup for a while and then starts to slow again. If I don't blip the throttle the ski slows and becomes sluggish. Once it becomes sluggish it stays that way untill i turn off the engine. When it's in this sluggish mode top speed is 45ish instead of 65 and the ski is a real dog. My first thought was plugs but I replaced them and got the same results. ??

1-pull the pipe off and shake it. I've seen these issues from a cat conv broken off in the pipe.
    2-send the carbs to O'side

Good news = Just pulled the exhaust and the ski already has a D-plate!
Bad news = Pulled the PV covers and the rear pin was out and just laying there.

When the pin comes out does that mean the PV likely came into contact with the piston? Or can I hope for the beat and order a set of clips and put it back together?
    thanks
