IMO you can get more performance for the price by mixing parts from both Riva and R&D. C1 and a R1 is a great combo for stage 2 with the accompanying mods. 80+ all day.

The reason I go with the package is because I am not familiar with all supporting parts to make them work.

A friend of mine has a stock '09 FZR that he rode last summer. He wants to mod it a bit and here is what we are doing:

    1. R&D Intake Grate and PPK (A MUST FIRST MOD IMO)

    2. Air intake (Riva)

    3. FF Exhaust

    4. Intake Sleeve for ribbon removal

    5. R1 Reflash
Will see what the RPM's are with the stock prop and go from there.

I have stage 1 mods and have considered the r1 reflash. I posted this question last year and wanted to know which gas to use if the intercooler is stock. What octane will you guys be using after the reflash?

I talked to Glenn at R&D a little about this. Don't quote me but I believe if you are running the stock IC on the R1 then you should up the octane to 91. If you had an aftermarket IC you could still get away with 89 octane. Give R&D a call, they have been great with customer service and they are incredibly knowledgeable.

I will call them today. I have no intention of getting a intercooler, so if I have to run 91 octane I will leave the stock ecu. Another question. How does the stock motor hold up with the rpms at 8200 to 8400 rpms?
