SpeedFreaks punp insert...when is this needed

Is it needed because of a bad design on the rxp? i have a stock motor 04,riva washers, shaft upgrade, freeflow mods,r&d intake grate,15-19r 2.5 wedge w/trim rod and other stuff...but i wanted to know before i dropped $70+ on it.Attachment 236203

Anyone correct me if im wrong but

I believe i was told you need this when you approach or reach 80mph and above, or the amount of pressure at those speeds could possibly tear out a portion of the front of your pump shoe assembly.

Just good insurance to have! 70 bucks vs 190 for new pump shoe and tons of labor.

+1 ....You are right on the money. anytime you go over 80mph in your RXP you will need this mod. I have my pump shoe blown apart at 83mph so next thing I did was this mod and never again I had a problem. The plastic pump shoe flex at high speeds and breaks apart.
