Why Sea-doo hulls break
There are some very informative posts on PWCToday along with photos showing how the hull on the RXP and GTX/RXT are made. Look under the heading "why Sea-doo hulls break". After seeing the substandard materials and workmanship used in their construction, I'm surprised they hold up as well as they do. Shame on SD !!!!

Man, I tell you....I'm thinking about dissing the RXT soon man.....Im waiting on that Ultra 250 to see the reviews and hopefully I see one on the water and make my decision.....Sea Doo does suck some times.....Specially I remember the time the ceramics went out for the first time and the shaft kit was on backorder.....I paid the ski for 2 damn months while it sat at the stealership......Even though it was their own fault for not testing it properly......they had already made the sale so they gave a chit about it....THEY SUCK actually.....

I have to say I`m pretty disappointed with the overall finish of the bottom half of my GTX hull, it is so wavey and looks bumpy, not flat or smooth. You can see where the materials start and stop or overlap. incredible! ...PR...

There is also a discussion about the sub par hull construction on Andy's friends forum, SD.net, but no pics. Actually I'm surprised the thread hasn't been deleated there yet!
