    2008 Speedster 200 SC - Are these ceramic ???

Well finally found the time and the weather was awesome. Took about an hour and half or so to get them both out. Fairly straight forward . Like most have said the two bottom were easy. The bolt facing in the back was interesting to say the least. I don't have the patience for that.

For those that have sport boats the three required to remove the SC are 5/16". 6" ext and 3/8 drive for the bottom and the 5/16" box end for the rear.

Now that I got these out I'm 90 % sure these are the dreaded ceramic ?? Off to get the RIVA washers from Jerry put in and then spend the summer driving it like I stole it with no what ifs or are they going to grenade. They look intact. Boat has about 40 hours!

I believe that sport boats changed to steel in 2009 model year, skis changed to steel in '08.

Those are definitely ceramic. It's all too common to find ceramic washers in 2008 boats (not PWC's). Boats had fewer problems so BRP switched production to steel washers on boats in mid-2008. Be very careful when you order Riva replacements. If both washers have exactly the same inner diameter order the 2008 replacement kit. If they have different inner diameters order the 2006-2007 kit.
