    No fire issue

Having problems getting my 97 1050 to fire. It has a new stator and cdi upgrade kit in it. Would should the readings be to ohm the coil out?

is you battery charged up? because if you are below 10 or 11 volts it will not fire

    Have a look here

    Polaris Domestic (red) engine

+1 on the battery. Must maintain over 10.6 volts while cranking.

Has it ever fired since the upgrade kit was installed?
If not, and the battery is good, re-check all the stator and CDI connections. And especially ohm check the electrical box ground to the engine through the black stator wire. Should be ZERO ohms between electrical box ground and engine block.

Battery is new and fully charged. The ski lost fire at the end of last season. Just installed the update kit today.

Check the voltage anyway, while cranking.

You would not be the first to discover a new battery that wasn't actually good.

The black stator wire ohmed out good to the engine block. it read 000.9. The battery voltage is 12.5, while cranking it is 10.5. I could not get any reading at all on the coil. I checked thru each plug wire and it seems to be open.

    Battery voltage is too weak.

Check for a missing or loose ground connection between the coil pack and the main electrical box grounding.

Installed new coil pack on it today. Charged the battery. Checked over all the grounds and all connections, over and over and over. Im stumped here, I still have no fire. Could there be an issue with the flywheel? I am open to suggestions.

What is the battery voltage while cranking?

What is the voltage right at the CDI while cranking?

im still a newb but i would check for your pulse signal coming from your stator thats how the cdi decides when it should fire i remember reading something about pickups getting broken on certain models

i dealt with this on a 1985 kawasaki 454 ltd once i'd like to never have figured it out
