    1997 SLTX Pump questions

What is the point of the spacer in the pump that sets it off at an angle? Also, I disassembled my pump, and maybe I lost a part??? When I put the impeller back on, there is about an inch of forward and backward play....did I miss a bushing or spacer or something? the bearing is in there but something isn't right. I cranked the ski over and the drive shaft wobble was crazy. Need to figure this out, as this ski needs to be sold yesterday. I am broke and sad. lol

Advice or links to help much appreciated. Have a good one everyone

driveshaft has a rubber bumper on each end.from the motor rearward is the 4" black wear ring, then the impeller/stator,then the wedge with the thinest edge up,then the pump/steering nozzles

Sounds like you have the pieces assembled in the wrong order.

The following should help you figure it out.

I think I missed number 23! Where would I find that part? I hope I didn't do any permanent damage to the rest of my pump! Thanks for the responses

Did you search the area where you took the stator apart?
It's a good size peice of metal, pretty hard to overlook.

seems like a drive shaft bumper is missing , when i cranked my pump down with out a spacer the prop bottomed out on the houseing and it wouldnt spin so i wonder if you missed the drive shaft bumper or bumpers since 1/4 of a inch of play could cause it since its not tight
