I dont believe that model had a bilge, but you should have a siphon hose. Make sure it is installed correctly and not pinched or clogged.

On another note it would be best to fix the water leak while your in there!

Figure out where the water is coming from and fix it.

Check the through-hull drive shaft seals, as a first guess.

You can test it while strapped on the trailer at the launch ramp.

What is the hole directly underneath the drive shaft about an inch or so back from the engine (in the hull). I thought it was the shaft seal that was leaking on mine when I put it in for the first time...but I noticed the opening (not crack) not only when the boat started to get low in the water, but when the dash went out..lol I popped the seat and noticed an unusual amount of water in the engine compartment.lol When I put it up on the trailer, I looked up into the intake grate and noticed the hole...it looks like a plastic plug might screw...

I am trying to locate a factory service manual in a PDF already, because my work email won’t let me go to certain pages to download it.. Im hoping someone has it in a PDF already...(2000 Virage 700) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There should be a plastic piece screwed in there that connects to a hose leading up to your multi display guage. I'm guessing it hasn't been displaying your speed am I right?

I tried to find a good picture, but this is all I could get.

It is the one marked #8. Basically just a fin shaped screw with an opening to allow water to go to your gauge to measure your speed.

Thats what I need.... I will have to look that baby up..Both the larger nut, and the sensor. What does that other hose go to that looks like that clear spedo hose? It seems to run along the same side as the other..
