    29 Cam rough idle?

Switched out my 51 for a 29 and now my idle is rough. Compression was 135 retard 165 advanced, so I am pretty sure the timing is right. Will put new plugs in tomorrow, any other ideas?

Did the "29" cam change your AFRs at idle after a good warm up?

Any better once warm? I've noticed the same thing when swapping a 51 with a 29. Seams worse when cold. I think it has something to do with the ecu mapping but could be wrong.

No warm up just started on trailer, water test tomorrow. Also where is the best place for this cam? All the way retarded? I have it advanced alittle to get 140 lbs of compression.

The 29 has more lope so Im assuming that is why it idles a bit rougher than the 51. I just swapped mine out to and notice it as well but it does clear up a bit when warm. JP The 29 Has not appeared to change the AFR at idle once warm any different to my 51.

Great to know, I just swapped out to a "29" I'm worried about being a tooth out and probably would have thought it was if it was idling real rough. Will see how she runs.
