XLT1200 has high idle after rebuilding
I rebuilt my 1200r engine for my 2004 XLT1200 and after the rebuild I had good cylinder compresion at 125 each cylinder but my out of water idle speed was 5100 per the tach on the boat. I pulled the carb and exhaust out to pressure test per some other posts and I was able to maintain 6psi for 20 minutes. I had the carbs rebuilt by Bill so I think they are good. How do I adjust the idle speed?

someone correct me if I ma wrong, but looking down on the carbs from the top of the ski, there should be a plastic adjustment screw mounted to a bracket on the right side heres a pic.

I was thinking that would be it. Which direction do I turn it to reduce the idle speed?
