    2007 Sea-doo ECU question

For several years now i have heard and thought I have seen here on GH
that the 2007 215 HP ECU has a 8300 RP:M limit. Does anyone know for
sure if this is correct information. Thanks--Ray

I would rarely see a bump over 8200 then slam down to 8120... But then my buddy's 07 gtx was running 8260 sustained one day on the OEM ecu so go figure

So the Q still stands.. LOL

    yes.. i have a 2007 RXT

limiter actually cuts in at 8350 is what you see on the dash tacho

    so 8300 is correct...

when i put in the greenwheel with the stock prop. i was all over the limiter... you could hold it at 8250 and it was ok...

    hope this helps

I called Riva late this afternoon and they stated the 2007 215 HP models have an 8300 limit ECU from the Factory. Also the Riva ECU upgrade for 2007 will work on 2008 and 2009 models (it carries the same part number). My questioning of this is because I just purchased a mint 2007 black/yellow RXT. I will see what it will do with some mods and the stock ECU. Interesting results retro_racer. I am planning on a much bigger SC than what you are running. Also will have Riva's RXP rear air kit (have done this on several three seaters--works great--yes it can be done) 50 lb injectors and maybe some other small items. Might have to go to a 15/20. We will see. Any sucess I might have with this boat can be attrubited to Water4Fire (Austin). Thanks to all for your input on this issue. Anyone else to comment on their expearence with the 8300 ECU and their results is welcome.

When I was running the OEM ECU on a 2007 RXP (Red black and white E U model) with an A kit Wheel i only ever got 8200rpm it never went above this. To start with I was running this with the OEM impeller so it was max'ed on rev's before I went for a higher pitch impeller.

    no probs sundance..
errr.. i was running a C kit with my stock ECU with rrfpr and 42's... had the prop pitched to give me around 8200 on a good day.. i ride in the surf and ocean.. never get glass conditions....

converting the ski to malvins turbo kit.. and a custom ecu map 9K.. should be fun...
