Tough Black Friday Choice
Life is tough. I have a difficult decision to make. I have a 05 rxp with riva stage 2 and I am trying to decide what to do next.
I could go b-kit which means I need a RR ECU, BKIT, full controller, and injectors. Plus riva thermostate, valve train upgrade, and oil injector. This would run around about $3600 if I find a few deals.
Thanks to Jerry's Black Friday SALE I could go riva S3, Riva ECU, injectors, 3 blade prop, thermostate, valve train upgrade, and oil injector for about $2800.
What shall I do?
What do you think the speed difference will be?
Why is the sky blue?
Should something else be on the list?

Either of your lists look great. You could go the Riva route and if ever you find a used B kit you could add it later and you are good to go as you already have the valvetrain and the Riva ECU runs the B kit just fine.
You could sell the Riva S3 sc at that point in time

i just bought a s3 s/c 2 put on my 04 rxp stage I with metal washers riva sponsons finger throttle reverse bucket mod riva block off at 8100 gps at 72.2 with the riva vortec s/c fan going 2 add 42 lb injectors after market ic 15/20-2mm adjustable venturi maybe r&e blocks looking 4 77-78 also im thinking about the rotax ecu 2 turn her 8400 but i hate 2 turn the s/c that much with the cheap bearings in it if i can find better bearings i'd doo it

Jer - how is the timing curve for the Riva ecu above 8400? You ran 80.1 @ 8400 in florida on the stg III. If that ecu runs out of curve above 8400, then where are you going to pitch for more speed? You had mentioned taking 1mm (approx) out of the back edge on the Skat 3 blade to take the riva Stg III to 8500+. Will that ecu run optimally @ those #'s or is the RR ecu timing still the way to go?
You know this is not a question for me directly -btw!
People spending 3-4+ K might not mind a little more $ if they're missing out on 1.5-2mph!!!

After testing both ECU's i think the RR ECU is the best bet for the B kit. With the Riva S3 SC the Riva ECU has been proven better than the RR ECU. With that said i think what is happening is the Riva ECU drops off timing above 8400, or as boost increases (boost increases as RPM's go up)
