    Last Ride of the Season

I finally got out for my last ride today.
The water was 37 degrees and the air was 40.
The RXP ran between 68 and 69 in the cold with a full tank. It is usually a little stronger so I am thinking cooked wear ring.
The nice thing about riding this time of year up here is that I was the only boat on the lake and it was nice and calm. The only problem was that I had to stop every 4 or 5 minutes because my cheeks were going numb and I was getting an ice cream headache. I should have worn a helmet.
Here are some pics. Sorry for the quality, they were taken with my camera phone.

That looks like a beautiful riding area. How much longer until that lake freezes over?

I could but I need to get it on the stand so I have room in my garage.
It could snow and stay anytime now. It was 25 degrees here this morning.

That lake freezes over in December usually. It won't be long.

If you don't mind the cold it is the best time to ride. It is so calm you could superman the whole lake if you wanted to.

I feel your pain boataddict...today will be my last ride of the year. It's sunny but currently 33F. No idea what the water is yet.
I had already winterized my ski once, and then it warmed up so I'll be doing it again this aft. You are right though. Great time of year to ride. NO one else is out there.
