    O.P.A.S. Block Offs

    Just curious as to what most of you guys are running,Im considering just getting the regular block offs,how much will the handling be affected over the pro series.I did a search and found some info just wanted some more

    Handling is the same up to the 74ish mph mark. The issue becomes the porpoising the ski will do when reaching speeds above that. If you plan on adding an x-charger and 42's and plan on reaching 80, spend the extra money and get the Pro B.O's. If not, just get the regular ones.

    Is Riva the only ones out there?I thought I read somewhere that there was some better but they dont make them anymore and I also thought someone on here made there own but I cant find the thread.

    RE's are not being produced any longer. Two options, look in the classifieds and find a used set and get them re-powder-coated; or buy the riva ones. The regular block-off's are 99.00 and the pro's are 334.95

    Some have said the RE's are better. Dunno!

    I guess adjusting the sponsons wouldnt help with the porpoising would it?

    Sponsons are for turning and hook up not porpoising. At least that is what makes sense.

    Thanks for the info.As you can tell Im still learning You guys around here make it pretty easy though thanks alot!! Im just gonna go with the regular ones for now so I can get my thru hull exhaust on.X charger and 42s is still a little ways off.
