Valve Job needed on 4-Tec at 100 hours?

Ok, so I just bought a nice 2006 GTX ( non supercharged ) 4 Tec for my wife.. It has around 60 hours on it. One shop told me I should really get a valve job at 100 hours .. Is this true?
He said it was very important for a 4-TEC with 100+ hours on it , but I mise as well just get this one done since Im getting the tune up before the season starts.

    What are your thoughts?
    Thanks..

If it runs fine, I would not do it.

No need for adjustment, the valves are hydraulic adjusted. Did he told you why you should get a valve job ? the valves are not close to worn out at 100 hours only think I would check for is rust on the exhoust valves.

Any "shop" I have spoken to has always told me some misdirected info about ski's, as in they have no clue what they are talking about. Every issue I have had, such as the VTS need to be reset by buds, these techs are telling me something else is wrong. Only thing I can think that he may be referring to is the 04-05 with weak valves that drop but as stated above, no need to adjust as they are hydraulic.

if there is no issue (misfire, low compression, etc) then there is no reason to need any motor work.. Its no different than a car. change the oil, take care of it and it will be reliable.

And I think I'll do a valve job on my car after 2000 miles. Ride it and find another shop.
