New product for both the Supercharged and Naturally Aspirated Yamaha 1800 engines
These isolators are CNC’d from a Bakelite substance for mounting between the intake manifold and the cylinder head on all Yamaha 1800 platforms which will prevent heat soak which is a major power robber on this platform of craft. Rad4 Racing has measured increased acceleration and peak speed on the start straight after a ski has sat on the beach between races due to the massive heat soak in this model. Once the ski is restarted the temp of the manifold quickly returns to the same as the air leaving the intercooler rather than that air being reheated from the throttle body to the injectors.
These are ready to ship and can be ordered here

Sweet. Had these on my ML63 when I had it. They cost a lot more though so I would call these a deal.
Trying to visualize what the two washers/discs are for though. For the two studs? Got it, nevermind.

Just to add and I am sure there are other opinions and facts - For every 5į F rise in intake temperature, air density drops 1%. These [type of] insulators I know have dropped intake temps by 75F anyway in some applications.
