Engine alignment causing cavitation...??? alignment tool rental???
When I first got the ski it had some serious cavitation issues in stock form. So, I did some research and found a thread talking about zip ties between the ribs on the bellow boot to create more pressure on the floating ring. I put the zip ties in and my problem was solved!....but only for about 5 mins untill they snapped......
so I decided to put a zip tie behind the bellow to create more pressure..and wahla!.....fixed!!!
Fast forward a year....
Saturday I was riding with a freind and it went from 0% cavitation to 100% cavitation after about 2hours of riding....
I figured that the zip tie had broke so i put the ski on the trailer and went home...After looking at it. I've noticed that the floating ring to carbon ring seal is not centered...(It has been this way since i got the ski)
My guess is that its sucking air from the carbon ring/floating ring is not centered...
So... does anyone have a engine alignment tool in indy/cincy/chicago area that I can use????
