    Procedure to time/phase SC rotors

    Has anyone come up with a procedure to reinstall the rotors into the supercharger and time it?

    is there only one position that the phasing will work for it to even turn?

    i have it back together with nothing hitting (about 15 tries later) .... i'm just wondering of the 100 various positions you can mesh the gears together is there more than one position where the rotors will turn past each other without hitting? or once you found the sweet spot your done?

    Is this a 250/260 or a 300? I what did you have the rotors out for? I have always wondered what a ported blower would do for any of the charged kawi skis

    it is a 2008 ..... 260.... got it figured out.

    clock the rotors exactly 90 degrees off from each other. dead on perpendicular with the keyways clocked in different positions. if you time it 180 degrees out, the keyways will be equal and line up, and the charger hits/binds the rotors. when you go to turn it.

    so basically, the way you THINK it should be, is wrong. if the key ways are OUT of sync but the rotors and clocked 90 degrees apart and you can make a revolution, you're in the right spot.

    I made a charger out of two dead ones and it was a biatch!! (done 40+ hrs no drama though)

    Smokey, you can remove rotors from housing without de- timing.

    I will make a jig out of dead housing for rotor assembly when I get time.
