    gp1300r-high altitude efi controller adjustment-help

New to the site.I just bought a 03 gp1300r with milled head-reed stuffer-pro filter-d plate-12/18 solas-ride plate ect.i am at 4500 ft above sea level and was wondering what settings on riva controller i should start out with? i ran 63.8 gps at 7150 rpm.seller told me to add 1 oz oil to one gallon of fuel is this a good idea? from what i have read for sea level machines it looks like controller should be at 5617 i would think at this altitude my settings would be lower.please help.

What compression are you running? at higher elevations your compression drops dramatically, and you need to run lower cc heads to compensate for it.
Extra oil in the fuel is not going to help, in fact it will lean you out more. Bad idea IMO

I am assuming you are running oil injection and adding an extra ounce per gallon? then yes bad.
If you are pre-mixing (40:1) you should be adding 16oz's per 5 gallons.

Yes if it was being broke in extra oil is necessary but three hours is past the time it takes to break in rings so, no more in the future.
