Have done it with the Ctek, think Ctek claims that their chargers are not going to hurt the electrical system. That older charger could. But ofcourse if you lift your cables your safe.
But My skis has never been hurt by the Ctek.

Leave my ski on year round to a battery tender. No issues.

My personal opinion is no don't do it. It takes what 7 seconds to unscrew your negative cable from your battery? Why risk frying something for something so minor?

I could be completely incorrect, but most newer chargers are safe to do this. Seadoo and every automotive company rightly advise you not to fo it. They will take any and all procutions to eleviate any chance of them being put to blame.
Another major risk is fumes being ignited from sparks from connecting the battery.

I'm open to any confirmed advice.
