You have seen the 2006 Kawasaki lineup...

    ...In 2005

Now there is only SD left to introduce a new model.

Kawi just dropped it, no new models at least in the regular lineup.

Yellow SXR, yellow STX 900 (both left overs) red 12F and green 15F.

    Whatever.

I heard they had problems with the belt driven SC, hoped to be ready for 2006 intro, but I guess they didn't solve them in time. Maybe 2006 1/2 model? I'd rather they solve any problems before pushing the product out on the consumer. Who needs the warranty tie ups and loss of use. We have enough of that right now with SD.

Maybe they don't want their own disaster like the SC clutch.

Maybe a later release of a non warrantied race ski.
Maybe they will release the race ski the same day they release the regular lineup but it's not on the regular press kit I got the info from.

PS: I know I am dellusional on the last 2 options.

A more realistic and SAD way to see it is that Kawasaki has a new hull and a new motor ready to go but apparently didn't want to invest in a new mold, due to DISASTROUS 2005 sales.
Now they are trying to push SXR and STX 900 leftovers/built before EPA rules kick in and the only 2 compliant skis they got.
Then sell whatever they can get rid of in 2006 then Polaris themselves and quit the industry.

SXR motor is from 2003, based on a 1993 design
STX 900 motor is from 1994
    STX hull is from 2000
SXR hull is from 2003, based on a 98 design (itself based on a 93 design) botton with a new top deck.
    STX pump is 94

Last time Kawasaki came up with something 100% new was 99 with the Ultra, new hull, new motor, new pump.

    I am very disappointed.

I thought they had a good year of sales on the STX 15F
