    Fuel valve concerns

I was poking around some of the old posts on the "other" site. Nice avatar Ph20, what the hell was that?!!!!!!!! Anyway, it was stated the 92-95 SL had issues with fuel selector valve being restrictive. What should I do to avoid this problem? My SBN 44mm are going to be thirsty. I wasn't too crazy about Sealion's suggestion to bypass the selctor, and "crack" the gas cap a little bit. I'm not knocking you SL, I just like having a reserve tank. Has anyone come up with a solution, or just buy a new stock valve along with the new see thru fuel lines? Thanks again

If I were you, I think I would look around and try to find one from another brand... like a Kawasaki or Sea-Doo or something.

I also noticed that a lot of Polaris 1996 models used the same petcock. Does anyone know if they were fixed by then?

I know that in 1993, I lost a piston due to that petcock issue. I just bypassed it at that point.

The older style were a problem. As I recall the internals of the valve were modified, I still find myself replacing them every few years out of fear. Oh they also used the same valve in some of the quads, I guess you could us a valve from the older Sportsman 500?

You liked that old cat huh?? It was Christopher Lloyd with a little wet kitty and some photo shop. I miss it.

So just buy a new valve every so often? I can deal with that. As for that avatar, yeah a wet kitty beats three of a kind.
