    Oil in intake

    Hello,

I am in the process of installing a new intake and catch can for my rxp. I noticed some oil in the intake hose and in the throttle body. Having the catch can will collect oil but I have two questions. First, is it possible of having to much oil? Second, should I take out the intercooler and see if there is oil all over it?

    Thank you,

    Lou

    You should be fine...but

If you had a ton of oil when you removed the hose, it's possible you have an issue. The seal in the charger could be leaking.. Clean the hoses and TB, and run it with the catch can installed, if a bunch of oil comes back, you have an issue.

What is the catch can for? I installed a 4" front intake should I have put a catch can in with this?

you have to remove in he intercooler to clean the oil mist off. the link WOT provided is for cleaning the inner water coil, not the air coil.

to catch the blow by oil/gas/water vapor from the crank case. You dont have to install one, but it you dont your hull will become an oily mess.
