What should I spray on my FZS engine?
Sorry for such a basic question, but besides WD-40, I haven't used any other product for corrosion protection. With my stand-ups, it wasn't difficult to coat everything, but in the FZS, it's difficult to reach many areas. It seems that something with long lasting protection would be better for those areas I don't cover during each spraying.
During a search, Fluid Film came up several times. I've requested a sample from the gentleman selling it here on the forum, so I'll see how it works. Since the closest distributor is 30 miles away, I was wondering if any of the large retail stores carry anything worthwhile. I'd like to find a couple good choices and make a comparison.
Also, for fresh water use, how often do I need to spray? (Saltwater is a no brainer)
Thanks for your advice.

I personally use Fluid Film because it is great at rust prevention. I give it a light spray after riding in salt water and then every month or so I'll reach way down in all the tight spaces and spray it. FF has great lasting capability IMO. It is tough to wash off with water, which is a good thing. I first got a sample from Dan (the FF dealer on the forum) and I have been using it since. I buy mine at a local John Deere dealer. I don't think you need to use a ton of it if you are in fresh water but it's something I would still recommend. Hope that helps.

I use the BRP Anti Corrosive; used to be Bombardier Lube, I think they changed the name on it to XP-S a few years ago. This is a really great product, I use it on my boat and outboard motor, dissolves corrosion instantly.

I was using the Yamalube spray (similar to WD-40, but a little thicker). I just got my sample of Fluid Film and it seems to go on thick, so I'm waiting to see how it holds up to the heat and moisture.
