    Polaris msx 140 blowing fuse

I have a msx 140. I went to get it running today since winterizing it from last October and I accidentally hooked the battery up backwards. as soon as touched the negative terminal I heard a pop and I realized I flipflopped the battery around. I checked the fuses and the 15amp main had blown. I thought this was going to be a simple fix. I installed the battery the correct way and replaced the fuse. The fuse seemed to be OK until I hit the start button and the fuse blew again. I checked for continouity at the fuse to see if the start button was interfeering, but it seemed to be fine. I also tried a different battery and it did it again. I did jump the solenoid and the ski started and ran. Is there another fuse or something I should be looking at? Anyhelp would be appreciated.

Try disconnecting the crank signal wire from the solenoid, press the start button to see if the fuse blows.
If OK, try disconnecting the starter cable, see if the fuse blows.

Seems possible the solenoid could have been damaged.

You cooked the diode in the starter solenoid. Replace the solenoid.

    Hope this helps

Starter solenoid was it. I was having a brain fart. I over-looked the whole thing because i never really work on a polaris before, especially a ficht one.
