Since you have an RXT a garmin 72 or 76 may be nice for you because you can get the glove compartment mod and it just clicks right in there.

I'd agree-- the Garmin 76 series and a glove box lid--

I have a Map76. If I was going to buy one again- I'd buy the 76S or better yet the 76CS (color).

We use ours more for the mapping so not to get lost as we travel around to various lakes. But-- the Speed readout is nice as well !

    Whoops-- forgot to add this--

I've heard of folks adding the 12VDC power cord-- tying it to the ski's power and attaching it through a hole (sealed) in the glove box lid.
We get 10-12 hrs on-time out of a set of AA bateries.

I've got an etrex legend and I mount mine with the marine mount on the right side of the golf box at an angle. I like it on the right side of the glove box because my lanyard gets in the way if it's in the middle or left.

It's toward the lip of the glove box so I can still open it.
