    Anybody bother with indexing plugs?

At first glance it makes sense to index plugs with opening toward intake, But I have read that some motors perform better with opening to exhaust. Which is it on our GPR's, and is it worth spending the 5-10 minutes to do it?

    Thanks.

Gap the goddamn spark plugs, put them in and RIDE goddammit!! To answer your question I don't think you'll be able to feel any difference at all. I'm not a GPR guy but I'd think that to be a very very negligible difference that you may not even see on an engine dyno.

With the opening towards the exhaust and side gap (not J gap) I have seen up to 20rpm increase on higher performance motors

if its stock IMO dont bother

Funny this is brought up...........I see guys care so much about indexing their plugs in races but are not running msd. They are so concerned about spending countless hours getting things perfect to net 20 rpm gains but dont run msd or other big gain products. I am not trying to promote a product but take a step back at look at the big picture. If you are not after the most performance and are running close to a stock ski skip the indexing. The only reason I would start indexing would be to get that max performance and have done everything in the book already.

Bottom line no indexing unless you are crazy on perfection. Put some regular ngks in and have fun.

If the plug were off to one side like a smallblock Chevy or Ford, I'd say it would be worth the effort. But being right in the center of the combustion center, it's not worth the extra hassle.
