What's the supercharger maintenance for the 2011 Ultra 300?

I can't seem to find that info on the net... was able to read the owner's manual online but it doesn't say it needs to be rebuilt like let say a Sea-Doo SC (every 100h). It only state to spray oil in it via the special port. I'm a big fan of Eaton and on cars, they hardly need any maintenance but the oil changed...if that's true as well for this PWC then it might just seal the deal for me on one of those Ultra 300x

If they are tough like the one used in Mercury Verado... They should last 1000hours + .
This is why do NOT hesitate to use the best oil and change often.

What is the best oil in your opinion?

Tryharder: I did a search online, was able to find a pdf copy from Kawi.

If that's all it takes for maintenance (fogging and check belt) that's going to sell me on this PWC (provided I like how it rides during the demo day next week-end).

I know the Eaton on the ZR1 corvette doesn't require much than just changing oil and a new belt here and there, no rebuilt and GM warranty it for 100,000 miles. It was the same for every other GM vehicle that used an Eaton supercharger.

100 hrs would be my guess

even if manual says longer 100 is a nice number.............

or every summer would be a good plan

    AMS Oil or Motul.
I know they are not Marine oil... but if you do change your oil very often, you will have no problem.

I do hope the SC is using the engine oil, I can see 2 fitting on the it on the schematic.
Unless water is used to cool down a bit the Eaton.
But I don't see where you can fill and drain, if you had a reservoir on the Eaton.

the SC gear box is water cooled (from what I was reading ealier on-line). On the GM cars, you re-fill (and drain) via one of the bolts hole from the snoot.

I am curious to know the interval...I read on the yammah brochure (advertising how less maitenance the Yamis are) that it is every 50 hours, but I would like to know for sure.

Also, for changing the oil only, you shouldn't have to take the snoot out, just one of the lower bolt (at least that is how I've seen it done on cars).

more than likely like the previous ogura where it was meant to last the lifetime of the ski.

yeah, but hopefully the Eaton Lifetime will be alot longer than the Ogura. All though the superchargers usually outlast the engine anyways.
