    750 advice?

I've built more 4-stroke engines than I can count (50+), but 2-strokes are still new to me.

I just built up the bottom half of my fuji 750 this weekend according to factory spec. I still have to do top end, oil pump/drive, PTO, stator, oil pump, ect...to put on. Any little things to watch for/loctite/RTV/spec that ISN'T listed in the book?

Make sure all gasket surfaces are scraped, and clean.

Good idea to chase all your threads and wire wheel your bolt threads. (makes assembly much easier)

    Lube parts prior to install

Make sure your cyls are CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN

    Check your clearances.

Temorarily assemble your exh manifold (light tension) before torquing the cyl base nuts down. That will help align the cyls and prevent possible base gasket failure.

Make sure cyl head gaskets are installed in correct direction

Torque cyl heads in a star shape

Blue loctite on all nuts and bolts. (I like to red loctite the engine to engine plate bolts myself)

Make sure you have good tight and clean elec connections at the ground wire, starter, and engine to engine plate
Finally do a leak down test after the assembly is complete

Everything else is common practice for me with any engine. As for loctite, is that needed on EVERYTHING, even bolts with lock washers on them? I didnt put any loctite on the 19 crankcase bolts...I guess I could take them out one by one and re-torque them with blue. I also need to check the oil pump tolerances by the book...anything to watch for there?

Its a shame I'll be selling this after I get it running, but this forum inspired me to keep it running instead of parting it out (and I LOVE to do things like this). I picked up the Challenger a few months ago, so that'll be my new ski platform...so the SLT is being sold. Hopefully I'll get everything perfect enough to keep it running for another 15 years for the next owner.

Honestly, i do still use loctite even with lock washers. Don't want them getting any air leaks.

Oil pumps i can't tell you. Never used one. I always went with premix right from the get go.
