wanted to know if the R&D RXP Anti-Cavitation Pump Cone was worth the money and if worked like it said it did, also what type of grease do you use in the cone and also were the shaft meets the propeller

most people mix gear oil with seadoo grease for the pump cone or just use the oil by itself. the standard grease on its own won't get into the bearings like we would like it to.

I have one of the RnD cones on my 04 RXP, it did help with cavitation and the mid range felt stronger with it. I run one of Les Cookes adjustable pump cones in my GP boat, it is a much better product, its fully adjustable to suit your needs but its alot more money than the RnD cone so all depends what you want/need

When I fitted by R&D cone I did not see much of a difference but I under advise I took it off and re-fitted with largest of the available spacers and after this I could see a difference when powering out of tight corners.

I've had one and have had minimal cavitation since. If it's directly related to the product not sure, but I won't get rid of it.
