New Color Scheme for for the RXP Need Opinions!!!

I am picking up an RXX hood and all of the trim pieces to do away with the monstorous hood the boat has now.

If I got all black parts the boat would look like an 05 GTX LTD.

The other thought was to paint the hood and all the parts RED and get red trim pieces.

Maybe yellow anyone have any differant ideas that would look cool??

The seat cover will be done to match the new color scheme and the holes where the trim parts are now will be filled with the matching gel coat.

The idea of the RXX hood is to be differant and also loose around 20lb's.

The last idea was to keep the stock hood and paint all of it red.

    So what do you think???

    Thanks

    David

I used a RX hood, everthing bolts right on. I filled int he holes for the trim pieces on the side. I haven't made a graphic for the side yet. I love the look of the RX hood, it makes a nice sleeper...

I'm open for ideas...I have been removing everthing possible to loose weight. My buddy is about 100lbs heavier than me I'm consistantly 1 mph faster on whatever ski we radar. So my goal is to loose 100lbs....off the ski I weigh 160 so I can't afford the loss!!!!

Besides a carbon seat (shaves 30lb out of an STX seat) and a carbon hood you'll have to start digging into carbon decks and hulls, and I don't think any is available.

The reverse is a good 40lb worth of useless crap too.

The RXP's block isn't heavier than a 2 strokes 3 cylinder motor, what kills it is all those accessories, the closed loop system, the reverse, the electric trim, the BIG hood and heavy seat.

Since a Rius illegal GPR was under 500lb I am pretty sure you can get an RXP below 600, assuming you got no budget limit.

What do you call your RXP now that it has the RX hood? I sure wouldn't call my ski an RXP if i changed the hood...I just don't think it's the same.

Hoods and seat are just cosmetic.

And the RXP hood is just one piece of bad, bling taste for clueless buyers.

People who really care for performance just are way over looks.

    Good riddance.

lawracing: Can you post some frontal pics of your ski...the whole hood on the RXP was the biggest drawback to me when I first bought mine.
