I have this setup, i have not run into any problems... its extremely simple to take apart in the event of a flat tire. yes you tell the difference when you are pulling both skis but its due to the weight. i cant tell the difference between this setup and my old double trailer.
    i recommend them.
WCA-1250-46-GL Karavan single to double trailer.

I've been pulling 2 in tandem for years. The only problem is the time it takes unhooking and hooking up when launching and getting them back on the trailer. This single to double conversion seems to be the ticket but I bet its a little wider than the average double trailer.

    How's it going ? .

I just joined on here hoping to find information on the trailer that I recently purchased along with my first pair of skis 98 SLT & 99 SLTH . Taylor trailer company ft worth tx 1996 double /single conversion. I'm not aware of how others perform but I love mine and would not have bought the package with out it .if anyone has any info on skis or trailer would be greatly appreciated. TIA

In the US and Canada the maximum legal width (without special permits) is 102 (8.5 feet). Most double watercraft trailers are right at or very close to 102 wide.

I spent the morning calling around to Karavan dealers and all of them told me these trailers have been discontinued.

I hoping to find some left overs or a used pair.

Check Magic Tilt trailers. The tandem trailer designed was bought by Magic Tilt a few years ago. It is still listed on Magic Tilt's website:

    http://www.magictilt.com/trailers/al...minum-trailers

The first line is the individual trailers and the second line is the required coupling unit to couple te trailers together.

The idea is promising and I know has been around for a while. However the WORST handling trailers I have ever towed have been Karavan's. I would be more interested in seeing some long term reviews as in after 10000 miles on trailer and separating and re attaching is it still rigid or does it look like a snake wiggling down the road.

thats true but myfriend and i often go far to launch our skis and this is the perfect answer for us to use 1 car and say alot of time loading and unloading, the gentleman that made his own version looks good and we might make our own as well

If you travel far or are planning to travel far, I would strongly urge you too not look at Karavan. They just don't track and ride well. Their are alot of other trailers in the Karavan range that are better.
