    oil in spark plugs?

hey guys, ive been looking for this topic and cant find it, so sorry if this is a re-post..

i have an 09 fzr.. i was riding on sunday and raced a few pwople in the flat.. after about 5 or 6 runs, my ski started beeping and showing the oil symbol... i stopped.. let it cool down and checked the oil (which looked a little burned) and was on the level its supposed to be... when i got home i took out the spark plugs and they were drenched in oil... what could this be??

If the plugs were covered in oil it had to come from somewhere and that would be past the rings.
Doesn't sound good, but don't freak out yet until someone else here chimes in as well.

im considering just doing an oil, filter, and spark plug change... see if it does it again.. even though it took all day for it to happen the first time..

I wouldnt run it till you find out what the problem is.....easy way,get a bore scope and have a look around in the cylinders.......or pull the valve cover and have a look around....................

i would check the compression first before riding it again.
also check the breather tube going to the air inlet. you could be sucking in more than oil vapor.
i would think that it would be odd to lose all 4 compression rings at the same time but who knows.

I thought that as well. If he does not have oil in the cylinder but only in the sparkplug hole then I agree.

ok im gonna go a little further back... i went riding 2 weeks ago and after about 25 minutes of riding in real bad chop, i felt it a bit sluggish and when i checked, i had about 3 quarts of oil in the bottom of the hull... i took it to the dealer and the put a new valve cover gasket... this week was when i checked the spark plugs and they had oil.. can it be that the oil is from the first valve cover gasket incident?

i just changed oil, filter, and spark plugs... just to make sure, i will test the compression tomorrow and if all is well, i will go test it out on the lake...

any other opinions or things i might wanna know??
