Thread: Pitch Suggestions?

Hey I am getting ready to install an x charger with 42lb injectors and have a 15/20 on the way. No other mods other than ride plate holes filled by the way. Based off of what people have experienced with this setup would I need to pitch the prop at all or would I be ok to just ride. I know every ski is different and conditions but was curious what starting point I should take. Any help is appreciated. Also is there a way without going on the water to hook a hose up and rev to see max RPM or would that be a bad idea like I am thinking it would be.

You wont know till you get it in the water and run it....Putting it on the hose and reving it up will warrent nothing but abuse on your motor...Put your ski in the water, make a couple of WOT passes, note your RPMs and then adjust from there if needed..Target RPMs are 8100..

That's what I was afraid of. I really wanted to get it as close as possible the first time I put it in. I have never taken the impeller out so hope it isn't a pain.

I have a 2006 rxp with 42's and xcharger and im at 8100 rpms a tad more during colder months last week light chop 8100 rpm at 79 degrees with a 15/20 unpitched. With xternal intercooler do you have one?

No, has to be in the water.
(I know this has been answered Just replying)
I would not go bending on a prop until it had been run if you had No idea or history. Unless the prop is wacked from the start.
If I had to guess you will be very under 8100 rpm. ( only mods in your sig with air intake )
Its very simple to remove pump and prop. You just have to have right tools.
