    Exhaust temp Warning Indicator

I have an 01 gp1200r and i just started getting this warning. I took it out sunday rode it for about 30-45 minutes and we stopped for a few minutes and i knew i was having issues with the exhaust temp. So i took the seat off and put my hand on the exhaust and it was not that hot I could leave my hand there and it not be bad. SO we start off again and not 2 minutes later get this warning. Why??

have you got the D-plate installed in the exhaust? if your CAT converter has been removed and a "D" plate installed the exhaust sensor needs a chip that stops the alarm going off, if you don't have the chip there is probably nothing wrong but the computer thinks it's too hot

I had the same problem, but had to make a chip with a resistor, fixed my problem!
