    Yamaha GP1200R problem with no Spark and water temp light comes on?

    Hi All Is there a way to bypass the water temp sensor to see if is is the problem here? And can the Gp1200R start with no info gauge installed not sure if the gauge is the fauly one here? help on this one will be appreciated....Its a 2000 model.

    I supect your temp sensor on the end of the pipe where it goes into the water box is bad or one of the small wires are broken inside. If this sensor in not working the engine will not have any spark. If you can you get a sensor off another gpr to test is what I would do. Tommy Jordan

    If you cant track one down, you can make a bypass using a 10k ohm 1/2 watt resistor. They can be found at any Radioshack. Look in the How-to's for instructions using your old plug.

    I've changed the temp sensor still no spark
