    Topspeed issue

    Hi guy im from australia and wondering if there is somthing wrong with my jetski.
    Its a rxt 06, my mods are xs intercooler,x model charger,14/19 prop,42lb inj,3inch airfilter stock ecu.
    Can only manage 112kph at 8180, but with the stock 215 charger it does 112kph at 8080.
    I cant seem to go anymore then 112kph.
    All parts was purchase through jerry great service.

    You are on the revlimit you need to repitch your prop.

    You must be talking about speedometer speed, not GPS. (112 KPH is 69 MPH, which is the max speed displayed by the cluster)

    Did you measure the speed on GPS? If not, you need to do this as using the speedometer is not accurate.

    yes was reading off the speedometer,need to get myself a gps.
    what do u guys think i should be getting with this setup?

    You need to re-pitch your impeller to hold 8140-8160 rpm MAX (stock ecu) and the previous comment about using a handheld GPS is right on. The dash speedo is way off!

    right now it sits around 8160/8180
    i have a spare stock rxtx prop in my sheld would that do any help.
    it hits 112kph at about 8000 and sit there while the revs keeps climbing.
    gonna borrow my mate gps and test it out again..

    First go and test with the GPS, you maybe good.

    Is it normal for a stock 215 ski to hit 69 on the speedo?

    Yes. The speedo usually reads 5-10 mph on the fast side anyway. The speedo stops reading at 69 or 70 mph. You could actually be going faster than 69 or 70 depending on mods, but you don't know till to run with a GPS.

    thanks for the info guys..appreciate the replys
    will update once i can get my hands on a gps...

    this is my first ski and mods and loving it, was in the car seen for quit a long time.
