    upgrade results...disappointed

ok fellas, help me out here. Snoman and I put on mods in my sig plus free mods, 190lbs rider, 80* water and 80* air temps, 780 ft elevation, 3 bars of gas and little wake to glass conditions, full 8100-8150 RPM's. took it to the water today and saw 72.8 on the Garmin Legend H. im not sure if the GPS was not reading correctly because it was in the small storage box infront of the seat but I was really hoping for 77-78ish. Any ideas on where to start?

For 80 degree air and water I'm not surprised.

Your hoping for 77 with a gen II wheel? Good luck bro. My setup isnt much more than yours really, And I usually hit like 75-76 daily. 77 once or twice. But it aint gonna happen. Sno man has a 2 rude and tons more mods and hes like 78, so I think your never gonna see it with your setup. I'd say your right about where its supposed to be for speed. Where to start? Bigger charger.

    A gen II is 9lbs of boost. I barely hit 75 with a S3.

Yeah some people have gotten 80 with a x charger supposedly. Some of then have ECUs. But whos to say they did the GPS right or the current, or what mods. You also need to average your speeds both way unless your at a lake.

Did Sno tell you that you would see 78 or 79? I am at 73.9 on basically a 2.5 degree wedge, grate, rear exhaust and intake, 14/19 with Jerry love.... I hit 74.5 twice but run a consistant 73.8-9 without pushing the ski too far. Before I sent the prop to Jerry, I was running ok. He did his magic and I hit 74.5 on glass lake water twice - no current, 80 degrees etc turning 8180. I can consistently run a 73.8-9 without pushing it too long. I have the stock SC..... But not for long........

I am about to order that thing. After the money I just spent on HOP UP PARTS from Bayou FZR, I am having a hard time hitting the buy button. Did you just send him your old one? Or buy a turnkey model?

no, Sno did not tell me I would see that. I figured that I over looked something during the install. I was looking at the speed/mod data base and was comparing mods to what I have. I guess I was a little on the far end of this but i was thinking at least 75. for throwing a grand+ at it i feel a little let down for 1.5mph gain over the stage one kit. *sigh* guess im looking for an X charger now

I was gonna go with the green wheel but was advised to step up to the x-charger.... It doesn't produce enough boost to make the other parts really worth it. Dunno!!
