REAR AIR; Who Has Actually Ingested Water???

One of my first mods was a Fizzle 4" air intake. I stayed away from a rear air setup to play it safe.
My list of mods is growing and I want to ensure I get the most out of them. I want rear air but often flick the rear out and have a bit of fun. The last thing I want is my motor taking a drink! Ride in the bay every now and then but mostly at lakes.

Who has actually ingested water with their setup and why?

I am also really interested in this as I keep looking at the rear air kit. When playing hard I have also had the ski upside-down a few times, I never do any hard surf skiing.

my ski only ended up upside down once and it was because soemone fell off a boat..and couldnt swim... my neice went over to help and they didnt speak english ...in a panic grabbed the bars and tried to pull them selves up from the side....and pulled it over..

if you play in surf..rear air isnt the best..

i have a set up in the classifieds right now that is a dual set up ..a rear air for going fast ...then another adaptor for hooking up front air when i went to play in the rough...just left the canoflex laying in th hull if i was running the rear..could be swapped over in 10 min..depending on the ride that day..

I have had mine over a few times, more so when I have been two up playing doing tail slides, but you can also do it on your own. Give it a try. If you get your body right over you can get the tail to slide out fantasic on the RXP even with lowered sponsons and the Riva ride plate.

My brother took mine out for a couple mins and was whipping it around doing tight swirly turns I think and he sucked up water into it. Was coughing and spitting. Even just another ski riding close to you can do it. When their over spray shoots over it comes like directly sideways and into the rear air. But the sound gained from the rear air is worth it.
