    Wake board vest ?

Is there a difference between wake boarding vests and pwc vests?
I was looking for some new vests and keep seeing plain ones and the ones with different colors or designs all seem to be labeled as wake vests...are these not as protective ? What's a decent vest for a decent price? Looking for something nice, not a million $, red, black, or white, or all of above if possible.. Ski is a sea doo so nothing that says Honda, kawi, etc, ha...
    Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing as there are some nice neoprene wakeboard vests out there (Hyperlite).

Most of the wake broad vest are not US coast guard approve. So that means it not a legal vest. But I have never herd of any one checking. I think USCG approve life vest are made to hold your head out of the water if you get knock out. There are different classes of USCG vest too.

Not all USCG approved vests will hold you head out of the water or flip you right side up. The vests designed for that are Class I if I'm not mistaken.

As a wakeboarder/wakeskater, i'd definatly say check out the JETPILOT range. They make CGA approved vests (and some that arn't). I've taken a few beatings falling and they always seem to protect me. Super comfy and warm as well.
