Whats the best ride plate and top loader combo for a SXR 800, or are they ok stock. Have a superjet at the moment so not sure what the Kaw are like stock, or if they need a bit of tinkering.

this is a tough question. it is really a "preference" and IMO there is no right or worng. i may HATE a cetain combo, that works very well for some one else, who has a different riding syle, weight than me, etc.
now, i have personally tried many combo's on the SXR, and i personally like the jet dynamics extended plate, with a TBM scoop.
the stock plate is good.
i DO NOT like any of the R&D products. i find they are hard to transition the ski back up rite, after laying it over in a hard corner.

Mine is stock and it works well for me. I runs lakes mainly so maybe stock would not work as well in other situations. But I agree completely with John Z. that it is a 'preference' issue. If there is any chance you can ride someone's ski with a modified plate or intake that would be the best of all worlds.
