    Cool Getting a new FZR!!!

    Hey Guys,

After looking for a decent used RXP (I know, I know....) over the last few weeks, I have decided to change gears and buy a new ski. The dealer closest to me has a couple new 09 RXP-X's in stock but what really got my attention was 09 FZR that they are selling at a blow-out price....Needless to say, I couldn't turn it down. Dropped a deposit yesterday and am picking it up Friday. I don't know too much about the FZR, but what I have read on here so far, they seem to be pretty bad ass...a little pricy to mod, and there seems to be some argument about the quality / durability of their hull material, but overall a real nice ski....I'm doing a lot of research before I start modding, but this is what I'm planning to go with so far...at least for this season.

    1. Riva Performance Power Filter
    2. Riva Through Hull Exhaust
    3. Riva Manifold Upgrade Kit
    4. Riva Intake Grate and Seal Kit
    5. Riva BOV Kit

Is there anything I should know or need to look out for on an 09 that might have been corrected on the 10's and 11's? Thanks guys!

    Mike

    You'll hate that ski.

That sounds just like my first mods I did--except the R&D intake grate was all that was available. Not sure if the Riva is better or not.

    Welcome to the forum!

I've never used the RIVA grate but the R&D works exceptional and I know when the RIVA grate first came out there were hving some problems with them breaking but now they are in SS.

STALKER; you made the right decision, welcome to the forum!
This is exactly what I've been saying. With the great values out there on the FZ's right now, I don't know why anyone would by another supercharged ski!

Exactly what got me....not to mention, a friend of mine (Primarily a Sea-Doo guy), recommended the FZR highly. He said if he didn't get such a good deal on his RXP, he would have been all over one.
