Got My Riva Stg I Kit Today
Is the "Intake Duct" plastic?
I know Pette just got one for his RXT and this was questioned by another forum mbr. Green Hulk responded that it was indeed alum powder coated black but I could swear this thing is plastic.

intake is plastic, yes.... exhaust is metal (thats what Pettee got, an exhaust)
plastic intake is good, less heat absorption

I think the exit of the SC is aluminum but no the intake side. There is no need for aluminum on the intake side.
Pretty sure this is correct......

I remembered reading about somebody's ski almost sinking because of something plastic catching fire and it was a Riva product so of course it concerned me.
Thanks for the clarification guys. Now I just need to build up my confidence and install the kit myself.

Intake is plastic, I put that on a while back ( will be making my own 4" soon enough I am sure)
The thru hull, although it looks plastic, is in fact powder coated alum.
