Need help : SHO - Did the oil change, now it just goes from 2000rpm to 3000rpm @ idle
I just changed the oil and the oil filter on our FX SHO Cruiser, nothing else.
Now I am having a problem.
The oil level is full, well at the mark, the oil filter is changed for a new one.
I started the ski on hose. It start then Idle at 2000 rpm then it just go scramble then the rpm just increase to 2500rpm, 3000 rpm... If you have any guess of the problem, please let me know.
I disconnected the battery then replug it and start and it still does the same thing. ???
Also there is no error code or anything on the dash ??

I charge $44 per hour. Call me if you need a tech... buhahaha!
Did you really check ( not in the dark like you always do ) if you didn't hit or disconnect something by mistake.
Maybe tomorrow I'll come over.
An change of oil can't make you ski rev like that, you must have done something else.

To check for an error code, hold down on the hour/ volt button for 8 seconds. But I don't see how an oil change could cause idle rpms to be messed up. The idle is controled by the ECU so that leads me to believe that there is another factor causing the symptoms.

Make sure its not in reverse or in "learning mode".
