what do they mean by "much smoother off throttle resistance over the O.E.M. intake grate."..... wont slow you down quite so fast like the stocker does when you let off the gas?

Exactly. The OEM one feels like you threw out an anchor. Takes some getting used to.

I tested one today. It makes the ski much more predictable and all around a much funner ride with no I'll affects in hook up and in anything but flat conditions. As for top speed I'm not sure about that yet but IMO it's a great intake grate. And is the cherry on top o this ski.

Has anyone done a back to back top speed comparison with this new grate vs stock? I ride mostly smooth water and don't want to loose any top speed.

You def will not loose top speed with this grate if anything u will gain mph in flat water. The more predictable handling in all conditions IMO is the best benefit of this grate.
