Towing the speedster behind houseboat - do I need to clamp? Will this work?

Still haven't figured out whether I need to clamp a hose on my Speedster when being towed behind a houseboat (in 2 weeks). If so, then I need to figure out which hose. I don't have a manual so I'd be thankful for a picture.

If required to clamp, will these hose pinchers work?

if your going to tow it often the you really need to go with a full port ball valve set up.its so you can just open and close it easy. You get it at home depot/lowes and splice it on your cooling supply line from the jet pump.

^^ For now I've got that pincher on the way. But next off-season I will do exactly what you recommend.

Looks like it will work. I just installed the valve setup from the how to section of the sea doo PWC forum. The instructions were in the bilge install, strainer, and kanaflex install. Highly recommended!

Black hose with green stripe that runs from the back of the boat, to the front of the engine, on the starboard (driver's) side.

With regards to those pinchers in post#1, they work, but just barely. They are a little on the small side, but if opened all the way to the last thread they will fit over the hose if I compress it a little with my fingers. Definitely a good idea to keep in the boat.

do you mean the 3/4" heater hose black with green stripe...the one that runs from back of boat to front of my exhaust manifold??

That would not be on the driver side on my boat?

Thanks for any help about what hose needs to be clamped when in tow
